Six Steps

Excerpts from a Dance exam-performance at the Atalante Theater
Six Steps was performed in 2003, but stands out in my memory as one of the best performances that any graduating class at Angered Senior Secondary School gave. This production was overshadowed - and also tragically energized - by the death of one of the dance-students only weeks before.

For once I was even satisfied with my performance behind the camera, getting the exposure mostly right, not suffering much from focus drifts and anticipating the motion of the dancers reasonably well.
I really loved that little Sony DV camera - forgot the name - that made exposure and recording-volume adjustments easy during filming.
