Pride Parade in Gothenburg 2015

15 000 people in the Gothenburg "Pride Parade", where forms of love and sexuality are celebrated that differ from a straight "hetero" norm. It is probably the growing intolerance in many countries around us that leads to a solidarization of "mainstream" people with the Pride movement. Many Swedes feel the same way as Amnesty International, whose supporters bore placards like: GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.
Actually, the word "gay" was not used, but rather the unwieldy letter combination "LGBTQ", meaning Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Trans-Queer. This particular combination is not so common in Sweden, usually the first two categories are expressed as one: H for Homo, leading to HBTQ, the letter combination used most in our parts. I had to learn though that this is by no means an international standard form. You may want to check out Wikipedia on this matter.
Nevertheless, the weather was unexpectedly nice on June 14th, the turnout enormous and the general mood gay (pun intended). I took pictures with no particular idea in mind, but in my selection here I concentrated on woman, who actually outnumbered men in the procession by a good margin.
