Spring is a glorious time (unless you are very allergic). The longer I live, the more fascinating and mysterious this season becomes. An enormous energy breaks forth and sparks off another round of life, a perplexing stunt that mankind utterly depends upon for survival. Many senses are touched, many feelings aroused. Undeniably, there is even a subdued reminder, a cautioning in the air: biological processes on this planet are delicate and vulnarable. Some mental sluggishness makes us naively assume a stability in nature that isn't there. And more and more often we humans mindlessly tamper with the balance that constitutes the very ground we stand on.
